Certification Program

Somatic Movement Education and Therapy is a professional field making
significant contributions in the performing arts, visual arts, health and wellness,
movement and dance therapy, body oriented therapy, body psychotherapy, life
and work performance, infant movement development, complementary medicine,
fitness, sports and yoga.

SOMA Fest workshops, performances and panel discussions help deepen the
experiential level of your body-mind-spirit and offers insight to diverse methods of
somatic practice.

The core of the movement experience is the sensation of moving and being moved...Ideally both are present in the same
instant, and it may literally be an instant. It is a moment of total awareness, the coming together of what I am doing and
what is happening to me. it cannot be anticipated, explained, specifically worked for, nor repeated exactly. (Levy, p.67)
