Teri's system is informed by more than 30 years of dance and mindful body practices. , She has explored many facets of the healing and movement arts, and has a BFA and Masters in Dance. She is certified as a Registered Somatic Movement Educator, Continuum Movement™ Teacher, Tai Chi and Chi Gung Instructor, Personal Fitness Trainer, Life Performance Coach, she completed the 4 year Body-Mind Centering® practitioner training, and she's taught Contact Improvisation for 25 years.
Teri’s EMBODIED LIFE system blends holistic fitness methods with body therapies of Cranial Sacral, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Reiki and Somatic Therapy. Teri is a Cranial Sacral Teaching Assistant for the Upledger Institute. She is the founder and director of Intention Dance Theatre and the SOMA Fest (Somatic Movement Arts Festival), the Emerging Waves of Health - Speaker Summit of Somatic Visionaries, the Somatic Movement Arts Training Program, as well as co-director of L.A.'s Improv Dance Festival with Making Faces Productions. She is a board member of ISMETA (International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association) and an editorial board member for the Journal for Dance and Somatic Practices.
